Responsibilities Escorts patient to exam room and notifies provider when patient is ready Obtains vital signs,obtains medical history, current medications, allergies, and all other preventative medicine, reviews and records information in EMR Verify all requests for refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies Organize and schedule appointments as needed, monitors physician schedule Maintain managed care patient Hedis list/patient list Follow up with patients on required tests/labs not completed Assist during medical examinations as needed Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments Monitors inventory of medical supplies needed Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and EHR System Job Type:
